Yesterday, I was contacted by a fashion collaboration site by the name of FStop.FM to be featured as a model. The site is similar to Model Mayhem, where agencies and brands can interact and collaborate with makeup artists, models, photographers, etc… I like that the blog has an Instagram type of feed where artists can post new projects and agencies can advertise. If you want to sign up, be sure to use my profile link: https://www.fstop.fm/#p/Kkarr. Happy trails to you!
My lovely friend Michelle Shim owns a high-end clothing boutique in the east mall of the Japan Center Mall called Harajuku on the 2nd floor. She gave me this beautiful faux fox fur jacket with faux leather stretchy sleeves. The designer is Bardot and the coats go for a little over $200. Make the perfect statement with black leggings or blue jeans and black boots! Happy shopping!
What an evening I had last night at the ZK and Eden Gallery for SF Community Fashion Week! We had “green” hors d’oeuvres, including water from the sap of a Birch tree and granola bars. I took some glamour shots and mingled with a few photographers I had done runway shows with previously. It was fun checking out Betty Boop and Popeye art and as well as neat looking sculptures by Roy Lichtenstein. The show took place next door and I got a seat in back. The first section of the show was the work of four designers with various earth-friendly get-ups. It was quite an evening to remember! Coming up tonight is Glamorama at Macy’s and Saturday is the “Couture for a Cause” runway show! Stay tuned…
This was my first photo shoot ever back in 2011 with SF photographer Jamey Thomas! We explored the Civic Center area, where I posed in luxurious gardens by the War Memorial Opera House and behind the Civic Center building. The first outfit was a cream and pink floral Betsey Johnson spring dress, Bebe white lace high heeled booties, Betsey Johnson gold and pearl bow earrings, a Gap light pink cardigan, and a pearl necklace. The other one consisted of a Zara hot pink blazer with gold buttons, a Zara leopard print top, French Connection dark wash skinny jeans, a black floppy hat, and Betsey Johnson hot pink high heeled ankle boots. It was a day to remember!
