This past weekend in Prescott, Arizona was truly magical! I enjoyed dancing with fellow alumni at the Prescott College dance reunion weekend. I stayed with 3 different alumni and ate awesome organic vegetarian food! Dance has been a major part of my life since I was young. I grew up taking ballet, modern, tap, and jazz at Dance Innovations in Chatham, NJ. I did a lot of performances at nursing homes and benefits and some competitions. One summer, I spent time in Philly at the University of the Arts doing a summer intensive program, which was amazing. The Prescott College program gave me the tools to be creative and improvise on the spot with movement and Dance Innovations gave me the technical foundation to perform, which is so essential to the art of learning dance. Peachy’s Puffs, the candy/cigarette company I work for in SF, is hiring vintage dancers to do the Lindy Hop and Charleston during the holiday season, which I’m thrilled about! Since this past weekend in Arizona, I’m looking forward to taking classes at the Arthur Murray studio! Stay tuned for more posts! ❤ ❤ ❤
