I was left quite speechless walking into the Crossroads store on College Ave. in Rockridge upon seeing a two-piece skirt and top set in bright bubblegum pink, an homage to Barbie! It was only $15!!! I couldn’t believe what a grand sweep I had made with that golden purchase. Every once in a while, I see some new and inspiring outfit at Crossroads, amidst all the other used clothing items. I love two-piece sets because you already have the full outfit assembled for you and you just need to add shoes, a bag, and accessories! Genius way to cut dress-up time in the morning in half. Easy as pie! Elle Woods here we come! ❤ ❤ ❤
How I love shopping at Nirvana in Westfield, NJ! Bought a pair of camo Kim Zozi Hippie Bling sneaks on their 70% off sale! These kicks have neat silver chains on the backs of the them and silver lining by the laces. Gonna strut down the hot pavement in the East Village tomorrow in these bad boys and see my friend Geoff’s punk rock band Gillian at Arlene’s Grocery!
Hot muggy day in the Big Apple… A total Carrie Bradshaw idea, but how about indoor shoe shopping in air conditioning? I scoured at beautiful crystal sandals in several shops around Times Square, since my own pair of Valentino-style nude studded sandals broke! Ugh. My feet got so dirty walking close to 40 blocks back to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. How I loved the scenery around me and the street runway laid out with people strutting along in their best looks! Finally… A city where people know the meaning of maintaining attractiveness. The beautiful and the proud come out to play in this fun urban jungle! Vive la mode a New York! Where is Bill Cunningham to snap my photo? 🙂 🙂 🙂
A fantastic event for supporting local retail businesses in Fanwood! I showed up at 6 to register and received a nice goody bag! I shopped around and got some rad discounts, plus a free pink vanilla cupcake at Mara’s Cafe and Bakery. I enjoyed $1 pizza slices at Nick’s Pizza and Deli and continued onto the Wellness Center for a free massage, chair reiki session, and tarot card reading with gluten free chocolate rice crispies treats and chia seed cookies… I later wandered over to a gyro tonic studio and enjoyed wine and a class demonstration, a wonderful dance with pullies! The evening ended back at the original place where I registered for a champagne reception and raffle drawing. I felt lucky simply showing up to the event, even though I didn’t win a gift basket! More adventures coming soon! <3<3<3
Back in Jersey, rocking to Springsteen! I’m geared up for some visits to the Big Juicy Apple, and of course the blessed Short Hills Mall Mecca!!! OMG. Great great retail opportunities, plus Duncan Donuts coffee/crumb cake experiences… The outfit I’m jamming in today is modeled after the rock n’roll summer festival wear! Guns N’Roses long sleeve black tee, BDG lace-up denim cut-off shorts, Sam Edelman gold chain sandals, and Just Cavalli big celebrity shades! Long live plastic fantastic NJ! Going to go to listen to the “Jersey Girl” version of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” hit now… <3<3<3
